What to eat at Bukit Timah Market & Food Centre? How about some comfort food kway chap? Let’s find out how Seah Family Braised Duck Rice’s duck kway chap is in this food review.
Let’s start off with the usual breakdown. Kway was silky and smooth, submerged in a herby and savoury soup, tasty and soul warming. Braised duck were chopped into bite sized slices, amazingly tender and totally infused with their duck broth, flavourful and delectable, topped with a gravy that was thick and gooey. Half and egg with clumps of tau pok and chunky slices of tau gua that were drenched with all the ducky goodness were included as well. Chili sauce was high on the acidic level, and although it was runny, spicy level was high as well.
For a $6 single person order, portion was ample and satisfactory, well, at least for us.
For the uninitiated, it is clearly stated that it is DUCK KWAY CHAP. And yet, there were customers asking for pig spare parts. So, to be clear, they do not serve any pork stuff. Purely duck ya. ^^
There is no doubt of Seah Family Braised Duck Rice’s Duck Kway Chap quality, and quantity was amply given. Delicious and definitely recommended.
