Looking for prawn noodles in Ang Mo Kio, we headed down for this food review on prawn noodles at Ang Mo Kio 628 market.

There were 3 halves of prawns, slightly overcooked, but crunchy and felt fresh. Noodles were slightly over blanched too, but coated well with a thick sauce mix that was heavy on pork lard fragrance, with an aroma of prawn broth umami. Pork slices were on the thicker side, although tough looking, but were tender and savoury. Other toppings were some crunchy veggies and fish cake slices. Soup was alittle dilute but full of prawny goodness and not the artificially sweet type.

At $4 a bowl, Wah Kee Prawn Noodles were hearty and filling, tasty with the right amount of sauce mix, particularly on the aromatic pork lard fragrance.
