Looking for chicken curry with kolo mee? How about at Traditional Sarawak Kolo Mee’s version which stated on their menu is a must try? Let’s take a look at this food review of their curry chicken kolo mee.
Their curry and noodles were separated if you were wondering like us if the noodles would be submerged within the curry. Curry was thick and luscious, subtly sweet and slightly spicy. Extremely smooth and no grainy powdery texture of curry powder, and not much coconut milk taste. Really well done we must say. Chicken were thoroughly cooked through, about 3 huge chunks, and a couple of squashy potato wedges.
Their noodles were plain and simple, similar to their other noodle items like their Premium Kolo Mee, springy and full of flavour from pork lard and fried shallots. Adding their he bi hiam was a treat, which was sweet, crunchy and biteful. Delicious!
It comes in a set of $7.50, with a drink, or $6.50 ala carte. $1 for a drink seems acceptable, and we got their homemade lemon tea, not too sweet and thirst quenching.
Overall, curry was thick, aromatic and flavourful, while their standard springy noodles were tasty and satisfying. It was a satisfying meal at Traditional Sarawak Kolo Mee.
