    Latest McDonald’s creation : Hainanese Chicken burger, created by Mediacorp’s Ben Yeo. What a nice tie up between the fast food giants and local celebrity.

    They used semolina buns which was fluffy, with the dusty tiny bits on top giving extra texture.

    Chicken patty was similar to the McSpicy, which chicken thigh was used, and none of the spiciness, tender and juicy.

    Right beneath the top bun were a mash of shredded cabbage and carrots, with the key ingredient of ginger sauce and garlic chilli sauce.

    It was the defining ingredient of ginger sauce that made this burger tasted like “hainanese chicken rice”. This unique concoction was so creamy and tasty.

    Simply irresistible and undoubtedly exciting new creation.

    They even added a sachet of dark sweet sauce, to mimic what we would add in our chicken rice, dark soy sauce. It was sweet, but deep with flavour, but it did not overwhelmed the ginger sauce.

    An a la carte Crispy Hainanese Chicken Burgeris priced at S$6.60 while an Extra Value Meal is priced from S$8.30.

    A Crispy “Hainanese Chicken” feast cost $11.25, which includes crisscut fries and a banana pie.

    Banana pie was creamy and resembles our local dessert goreng pisang, satisfying and delicious.

    Definitely a recommended fast food item. ^^
