Needing some sweet dessert besides bubble tea? YumzYumz tried out Milksha via FoodPanda delivery. We got their limited time specials, Cheng Tng and 2 other drinks; zesty lemon green tea and azuki matcha milk.
Cheng Tng
At $3.50, it may seem expensive for a simple cheng tng which we can get at any dessert shop. But what Milksha did was to add their signature honey pearls, which were chewy and subtly sweet. It came with the usual sweet dried longa and shredded grass jelly. Sugar level is fixed and no additional toppings are allowed. Simple and refreshing.
Zesty lemon green tea
Sourish and refreshing, freshly brewed green tea presence was almost obscured by the over powering 100% pure lemon juice, and each cup cost $4.80.
Azuki matcha milk
The most costly of the 3 cups we ordered at $6.40, made with freshly brewed Japanese matcha powder mixed with fresh milk and topped with azuki beans (or simply red beans). Definitely a pleasant substitute for sugar laden pearls and milk tea.
Of all 3 flavours we got, we preferred the zesty lemon green tea for its not over the top sweet nor milk based, refreshing and cooling.
