YumzYumz got 2 different desserts at TONITO, consisting of churros and chocolate tres leche. Let’s find out how we thought of them.

    Churros

The churros were crispy and fluffy on the inside, sweet o’sweet with even more sweetness from the dusted icing sugar. On the side was a scoop of vanilla icecream and some hazelnets to go along for the needed texture combination. Finally, a mini dish of creamy melted chocolate to go along for the added sugary delight.

Every item seemed simple and when assembled together, it cost $12 a pop.

    Chocolate Tres Leche

For starters, Tres Leche is a sponge cake that is a popular Mexican cake, so is it just another fancy name? Not exactly, as it had its own merits. It had some coconut shavings within its dense yet soft sponge. It was soaking up the creamy sweet cream sauce at the bottom. It had a scoop of ice cream at the top, with blue berries and strawberries added on together with some jam. The surprising delectable ingredient had got to be the candied pistachios. They were crunchy, sweet and well, nutty!

So much was going on with all the ingredients, it was definitely a marvelous treat, at $12.

    Conclusion

Although dessert is definitely not their main draw, TONITO still delivered some wicked sweet treats.
