On hindsight, it may look plain and simple, but if you look closely instead of wolfing it down, Shake Shack’s crispy chicken burger is more than a simple burger. Lets try to break it down.
Buns were soft and fluffy, with buttery crusty inside, both top and bottom buns, nicely caramalized. It’s defining ingredient was a crispy chicken breast, tender on the inside and deliciously deep fried to perfection. It was so tender on the inside, you can be forgiven to think it isn’t chicken breast meat. Juicy and savoury. Layered below was some fresh crunchy lettuce, 2 thick slices of pickles and a slab of buttermilk herb mayo to round things up.
The combination was superb and well thought through. Yummilicious for a fast food item.
At $9.70 for a burger, Shake Shack’s crispy chicken burger is slightly above what we would normally pay for a burger, but it was lovely in terms of quality.
