Aburi-EN at Vivocity spots a rustic looking design with open kitchen concept, allowing diners to view all the fiery actions at the grill. YumzYumz tried out Aburi-En’s chicken teriyaki don (rice bowl) and this is our food review of it.
A thick juicy tender chicken thigh rested nicely on fluffy Japanese rice, with the thick and dense teriyaki sauce dripping off it, mixing really nicely with the rice.
The chicken skin was crisp and nicely charred, while preserving the well marinated chicken thigh’s flavour. On sides were two chunky delightfully grilled leeks, providing the needed crunchy texture, and added flavour.
At $10 a bowl, Aburi-EN’s Grilled teriyaki chicken thigh on rice is an all rounder with the right taste, texture, quantity, and recommended for anyone who is indecisive on what to order.
