Craving for chicken pies, YumzYumz spotted Huff & Puff when we did a search for chicken pies. Hence we headed down to Toa Payoh and tried them out.
Huff & puff is a typical neighborhood bakery shop, and stated on their display was “juicy big chicken pie”, $2.20 each.
It looked quite big in size, but upon careful inspection, the top crust was no doubt big, but the bottom was paltry sized. So deceptive!
The crust was crispy and buttery, but filling was amazingly little and tasted underwhelming in terms of taste and chicken bits were dry.
A good chicken pie should be moist on the inside with chunky (not bits..) poulty.
We are still looking for great chicken pies…
