Located within Far East Shopping Centre, YumzYumz visited Shashlik Restaurant and tried out their Cherry Jubilee. Here is our food review for on of their signature items.
Pitted cherries flambéed with liqueur, served with 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream.
The server would perform the cooking of cherries at the table side, stirring consistently with flair, liqueur added for the extra punch in flavour.
Sweet and deep, any alcoholic residue would have evaporated, leaving all the goodness together with the cherries, and complimented with the ice cream on the sides.
At $26 an order, it may seemed an over priced dessert, but Shashlik Restaurant’s Cherry Jubilee is definitely one that you must order when visiting.
Do note that there is no dress code, as slippers and bermudas are allowed as it is a family friendly restaurant. Just do not wear revealing clothes or inappropriate dressing.
