Created by Thoo Chang Wei, who was a chef at Peach Garden, we tried out Chef Wei HK Cheong Fun 伟少港式·肠粉 ‘s char siew chee cheong fun in this food review.
Silky in texture, their chee cheong fun, crepe-like roll made from thin, wide sheet of rice noodles was chewy and beautifully made. Sesame seeds sprinkled on top elevated its taste with subtle nutty flavour, coupled with their lovely sauce drizzled all round. Sauce was savoury, and somewhat overtly sweet for our liking, but still enjoyable. The amount of shredded char siew was generously given, adding another dimension to the delectably done chee chong fun.
Priced at $4 a plate, the amount of chee cheong fun was filling and quality was lovely and satisfying. Great for sharing or just by itself as a meal.
