Smacked right in the middle of Bishan Park, Grub offers some of the nicest all day breakfast, and offering nice and quiet ambience. YumzYumz gave Grub a visit on a hot sunny Sunday and this is our food review of their Brunch Plate.
For their brunch plate, it was a spread of garlic ciabatta, or rather simply garlic bread. Next was 3 juicy arabiki chicken cheese sausages, followed by a generous portion of soft creamy scrambled eggs. On the sides were a handful of nicely sauteed smokey mushrooms, and some soft crunchy caramelised onions. Finally some mixed salad greens with tangy and intense salsa salad dressing.
Garlic ciabatta was fluffy on the inside and crusty on the outside, crunchy buttery and garlicy.
Arabiki chicken cheese sausages were standard, crunchy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Size is subjective but to us, it was quite big and nice.
Their scrambled eggs were soft and creamy, lightly salted, and was really filling to the tummy.
The sauteed mushrooms and caramelised onions were tasty, adding texture and flavour to the plate as a whole. The salsa salad dressing was a pleasant addition with its sweet and sour flavour.
Brunch plate is available only on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, from 9am to 5pm.
At $16 a plate, and with such quality and quantity, Brunch Plate at Grub is certainly recommended for anyone on a nice weekend.
