Next up for our 1st day of reopening of dine in restrictions, was a brunch item of breakfast steak & eggs from Columbus Coffee Co at Upper Thomson.
Topped with a bunch of arugula salad, which totally concealed the main item steak, providing the crunchy texture needed for the whole dish. Refreshing to the palate and eyes.
Beneath the greens was a slab of nicely seared striploin. Pinkish on the inside and beautifully seared exterior. Stated on the menu was 200g of Australian grass fed striploin. Red pesto sauce was added to give the extra lift in flavour, which was exceptionally delightful. Pleasantly seasoned and wonderfully prepared.
Finally on the sides were 2 organic sunny eggs with gooey yolks, and sautéed herbed potatoes.
Their brunch items starts from 9am to 3pm.
This brunch item of steak and eggs cost $25.10, and although on the expensive spectrum, it was indeed delicious and worthy as one of the first items we had on the first day of dine in.
