Located within Far East Shopping Centre, YumzYumz visited Shashlik Restaurant and tried out their Borshch Soup. Here is our food review for on of their signature items.
Thick, creamy and hearty soup served at Shashlik Restaurant, their borshch soup consist of a few chunky bits of slow cooked angus beef brisket, some potato chunks and other mushy vegetables.
Borshch soup by origin is a beetroots based soup, from Eastern Europe and Northern Asia. For Shashlik Restaurant, it was immensely deep with beefy broth, hearty and soul fulfilling satisfaction. Adding in the optional sour cream was definitely a must to elevate its texture.

As starters, a bun was provided (if you fancy more, additional buns cost 50cents a piece) , which was fluffy and warm, freshly baked back in the kitchen. It was definitely a nice touch to the whole meal.
At $10 a serving of borshch soup at Shashlik Restaurant, it was undoubtedly full of richness, depth and elegant.
And with their top notch service and attitude, coupled with their cozy and delightful ambience, dining at Shashlik Restaurant is always a lovely experience.
