One of the popular stalls among this small inconspicuous coffee shop in the heartlands of Hougang, Wen Ge Charcoal Delights wipes up a delectable duck noodles dish.
One of the attraction was the duck being boneless, since they specifically had to specify it in its name. Next was its aromatic oily yet crispy skin, and its tenderlicious smokey flesh. Although it was the toughest part of breast meat, its texture was almost like thigh of the duck, undoubtedly delightful.
Its defining ingredient however was definitely its thick gooey dark gravy. Its richness was luscious and had a lingering taste in every bite. It married harmoniously with the mundane noodles and laboriously made roasted duck.
And at the price of $4.80 and such quality, it is obvious Wen Ge Charcoal Delights business has a strong following. Do cater for a longer queuing time during meal times. YumzYumz recommended!
