Located within Far East Shopping Centre, YumzYumz visited Shashlik Restaurant and tried out their Blue Fire Ribs. Here is our food review for on of their signature items.
Fall-off-the-bone pork loin ribs, glazed with their special Hainanese Sweet & Sour sauce, and it was one of the most tenderized slab of ribs we ever had. A light pull of the flesh and it came right off the bones. Its exterior was sweet and lovingly caramelized.
It was flambéed with dark rum at our tableside, and it gave the slab of ribs a superior and elegant fragrance and flavour.
A full slab of ribs cost $40, and a regular slab which we got was $34.
In summary, Shashlik Restaurant’s Blue Fire Ribs is one of the best ribs we ever had, with a touch of flair and elegance. Highly recommended.
Do note that there is no dress code, as slippers and bermudas are allowed as it is a family friendly restaurant. Just do not wear revealing clothes or inappropriate dressing.
