Black Angus Cheese Burger @ Canopy Bishan

It may seem almost like another simple burger, probably resembling a burger from MOS Burger.

However, upon closer inspection, there were minute details that set their black angus cheese burger apart from others.

First off, their bun is stated to be a sesame potato bun, with a mix of black and white sesame seeds on top, for the subtle aromatic nutty fragrance. The under side of the bun was buttery and nicely caramelized, with a scoop of sweet savoury onion marmalade on it.

It was followed by a thick slice of sweet juicy tomato, as well as a slice of melted cheddar cheese enveloping the main protein underneath it.

We got the black angus beef as medium rare, which came soft and absolutely juicy and perfectly seasoned. It was thick, ample and emits an unparalleled irresistibility.

Finally right at the bottom where all the glorious juicy grease and flavour landed on the bitter sweet arugula greens, smeared with a generous amount of truffle mayonnaise. The effusive combination of every ingredient created a lovely mix of texture and flavour.

At $23, their black angus cheese burger came with a handful of piping hot french fries, and certainly a well crafted and laboriously created burger. Yummilicious!

Worth noting was the severely understaffed scene, where only 2 staffs ran the front during lunch time, but still managed to welcome customers, check for vaccination status, take orders, serving, clearing tables, settling bills. It was simply amazing how they managed it and yet still being polite and friendly. Good job!
