Paying IKEA a visit, not for their furniture but their restaurant? Same like many others, YumzYumz visited and tried out their beef cheek with aglio olio, and here is our food review of it.
We were given a huge slab of beef with loads of sauce poured all over, mixing with the pasta and greens. Beef cheek was tremendously tender, fitting with the phrase “melts in your mouth“. The amount of fat was minimal, with loads of crazy delicious beef cheeks. The accompanying gravy was thick and deep with flavour, enhancing the delightful protein.
Aglio olio pasta was sadly terrible and almost bland if not for the subtle spice and garlic. If not for the beef gravy, they might as well pass off some packaging cardboard from the backroom as the pasta portion.
At $14 a plate and available till 31st May, it has got to be one of the pricer item on IKEA’s menu, but the beef cheek and gravy were definitely worth the calories.
