Sensationally baked rice with yummilicious umami seafood thrown into the mix, this is our food review for Majestic Bay’s baked seafood rice.
We had to wait for approximately 15 ~20 mins for this amazing oven baked goodness, which was also stated on their menu of 20 minutes waiting time. Quantity was adequate for 2 to 3 pax sharing, perhaps even sufficient for 4.
As it was set in front of us, the first layer of inviting sense was its aromatic melted cheese right at the top, with slightly browned crusty layer.
Huge juicy scrumptious scallops buried within the rice and cheese were nicely cooked through yet soft and amazing.
Prawns were fresh, crunchy, covered with cheese and slightly charred on its rims, satisfyingly delicious.
Shimeji mushrooms and fish slices were thrown into the mix generously and offered multiple different layers of texture and flavour.
If these still ain’t enough, the bulk of this delectable dish comes from its mushy baked rice which had infused their white sauce (not sure what it is, but we were sure as hell it was some godly umami filled concoction), mixed with gooey melted cheese and generous fresh seafood, we found ourselves to be dumbfounded and silently enjoying every single mouthful and savouring every flavour and texture. Simply amazing.
Priced at $32++, Majestic Bay’s sensational seafood baked rice is one dish everyone will agree that it is an amazing creation, and once you try it, you will understand the amazing feeling we had.
