Located at Paya Lebar Quarter (PLQ Mall), Wursthans Switzerland offers Swiss style food items, and YumzYumz tried their Pork Scotch Fillet with Cream Sauce. Here is what we reviewed how we thought of it.
First off, pork scotch fillet is a heavily marbled cut of meat from the shoulder and it’s usually cooked slow as a roast because the fat keeps the meat very moist. What we got from Wursthans Switzerland was a delightfully grilled pork scoth fillet with intense umami filled chops that will fill anyone with satisfaction. The tender juicy cuts were so succulent and flavourful, and coupled with the cream sauce, you might forget all your troubles (exaggerated but you get what we meant ^^).
As it was a “create your own swiss meal” item, we added oven roasted potatoes, which were soft and savoury. The second item for sides was seasonal roasted vegetables, although they should name it more appropriately as burnt seasonal vegetables as most were charred. Adding $1.50 for caramelized onion sauce was definitely a waste of money as it wasn’t necessary and tasted mundane.
Priced at $15.90 for a customized meal, Wursthans Switzerland’s Schweinssteak pork scotch fillet was worth every cent, although you need to add $1 for the amazing pork. For a total of $18.40, it was a delectable and luscious meal.
